A self-claimed badge is worth nothing. We verify against the regulator that issued the credential, record what we checked and when, and re-run the check on a schedule so the badge you see today is still true today.
Licence number confirmed against the issuing regulator's public register.
Active registration in good standing, matched to the counsellor's legal name.
The designation shown on the profile is the one they actually hold.
The province or territory where they are entitled to practise.
Active, restricted or suspended — restricted listings are removed from matching.
Renewal dates tracked so a lapsed registration cannot stay live.
Re-verification, not one-time checks
Each verified credential carries a next-check date. Our review queue re-runs the check every 90 days — sooner when a renewal date is approaching. If a check fails, the verified badge is removed immediately and the listing is pulled from AI matching until it is resolved.
